- IGCSE’s (International General Certificate of Secondary Education are rigorous academic courses that lead to a formal and globally recognised qualification at aged 16.
- The IGCSE is not compulsory in Australia but does allow students to receive a thorough grounding in subject areas that suit the SACE and A-level pathways.
- At AIS, Year 10 students can study up to five IGCSE subjects in addition to the Year 10 Australian Curriculum subjects.
- Students choose: IGCSE EAL, General English or English Literature; Core Maths or Extended Maths; and choose up to 3 elective subjects Environmental Science; Global Perspectives; Chinese or other language.
