YEAR 11 SACE STAGE 1
The South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) is an internationally recognised qualification that creates tertiary pathways for young people. Students entering Year 11 or Stage 1 of the SACE can use this program of study as a pathway to Year 12 and then on to university, the workforce or certificate courses.
Compulsory SACE subjects include:
- Personal Learning Plan (completed in the High School SACE Preparation Program)
- English as an Additional Language
- Mathematics
- Research Project
However, the SACE course offered at Adelaide International School is specifically designed for students who wish to place an emphasis on Business and Enterprise as their course of study.
Other offered subjects will include:
- Psychology
- Legal Studies
- Economics OR Accounting
- Business and Innovation
- Integrated Learning
- Other languages such as Vietnamese or Chinese
- Certificate III in Business
To gain entry to SACE Stage 1 a student will have successfully completed Year 10 in an Australian School or completed the AIS Preparation for SACE course.

The Course commences at the end of January each year. Later entries must be negotiated wit the Principal of AIS. This is a 12 month full-time course conducted at Adelaide International School.
