Parent/guardian/student Guidelines to create a safe space for online learning
- No child is permitted to learn from their bedroom.
- Parent/guardian must set up a study space for their child in a family living area.
- Ensure good internet access into your home.
- Every child must wear their current school uniform or neat casual dress appropriate for learning – students inappropriately dressed will be reported to the Principal who will contact the family to rectify this.
- Every child must have their laptop camera in full view of the teacher to ensure we can teach your child effectively and your child is learning. Further, this is an important component of our wellbeing support initiatives at Adelaide International School. No exceptions.
- No parent is permitted to be in class with a child.
- Tutors with permission from the Director of Teaching & Learning, Ms Zara Phillips may attend classes online, but they are not permitted to ask questions or interrupt the class.

Introducing our Director of Teaching & Learning, Ms Zara Phillips
SUBJECT SELECTION and SUBJECT CHANGES
Ms Phillips meets with each student once the admission process is finalised into Adelaide International School. She talks career options with each student and confirms SUBJECT SELECTION for 2022 and prepares their timetable. All timetables were emailed by Ms Phillips to students yesterday on 27 January 2022. Ms Catherine So will email this timetable to each parent as well.
All Student Change of subject requests must go to Ms Zara Phillips. Appropriate forms will be available from Student Services – Catherine So. At the end of week 3 of Term 1 (after Parent Teacher interviews) – if your child is not meeting the academic requirements of the subject they are studying – an alternative option will be arranged with you, to ensure their SACE completion is on track.
